Radio comes on at all times

My 2008 Lincoln MKX has a radio that comes on by itself even when the car is not running. It runs intermittently when the car is on also. I have to keep the radio volume on high while at work or at home so I can hear when it decides to turn on by itself because I woke up to a dead battery one morning. I am at my wits end.

Do you actually use the ON/OFF button to turn the radio OFF before shutting the vehicle down or do you just turn the ignition OFF?

Doubtful. The poltergeist that lives in the car is probably unhappy... bad gas or something...

I turn it off before shutting the car down. Half the time the on/off button does not work

Perhaps that is the problem or part of it. Faulty button?
