2022 Navigator

I got moved again to last week of April. Ordered day after order book opened on Oct 19.
It’s either the ceramic paint or the russet interior holding me up I guess. Reserve L.
Didn’t like any of the BL interior colors or would have ordered one.

Did you order ceramic pearl?

My order is a Reserve 4x4 with Reserve I package, Heavy duty trailer tow (to tow our new Crownline 265 SS surf, can't wait :D), elocker, monochromatic package, all weather floor mats and the massage seats in the 2nd row as our oldest will be driving in a few years and I plan on relaxing in the back seat on long drives! Color is Pristine white

Order date: Feb 21,22

Status: we got order confirmation email from Lincoln on the same day we ordered it.

Hope to have it this summer, but not needed at we also have an F350 PSD. Also, my x-plan is from a current F upper level manager. If I hear anything this is not on the QT, I will let you know.

What interior color did you pick?

I ordered black. Which I think it in short supply. However, we have three kids with our oldest being 13. So, any other color just isn't an option. Besides, we ordered Pristine White with the monochromatic package which screams for a beautiful black interior.

Also, I think we are going to drop it at a custom shop and have the exhaust tips done properly with them coming out the rear valance with some SS trim rings. Drives me crazy that the exhaust in a $102k car is the same at a 2000 ford taurus for all intents and purposes. something like this:

We ordered the same Nav as you except captains chairs with pass through and L. I’m not even scheduled yet and I ordered 10/23.

Yikes! Our has the passthrough as well. we actually removed the 2nd row center seat from our Land Rover LR4 to make it a pass through. Much easier to get a kid in the back.

Just talked to my dealer rep. He said interior color is the hold up on my order- shortage on black interior.

Anyone else with black interior get a VIN and/or get scheduled?
I have a BL with black interior, scheduled for production 3rd week of March...

My build date also got moved again, no surprise!

Here is the History:
  • 10/22 Order placed
  • 11/8 Removed Rear Ent. - Due to Late Avail.
  • 12/13 Production date Feb 21st
  • 01/04 VIN# Assigned
  • 01/21 Production date of March 7th
  • 02/01 Production date of March 13th
  • 0214 Production date of March 21st
  • 02/28 Production date April 11th (5th change!)
Hope this is last change, since the factory has been in "limited Capacity" production for the last two weeks:

It'll be interesting in a month. Until then, I don't see anything happening. There was a video on Youtube by TFL Car and they got inside a 2022 and did 'review' without driving it. That is soon to post online, though.

is it just me or do most of these YT reviewers look like they wouldn't know luxury if it hit them upside the head? Seriously, jeans, untucked, wrinkled shirt, tennis shoes. Yeah...

He's at the lincoln drive event that I posted earlier. I read the comments, the things that people post to down a car they haven't driven or been in is crazy. It's so funny to me when people write I like the <insert car> over this because <insert reason>, yet the li coln either beats it for certain reason, or is a better value due to certain reason.

That's pretty much the ultimate luxury in my book ... but then I went 2 years without wearing pants, soo

He's not a Lincoln fan and he's more a Tesla & off-roader guy ... I don't hold that against him, all perspectives welcome in my book ...

Lincoln is doing an interesting auto product experiment here:

They're betting there's a niche out there who just wants some peace & tranquility along with their nice seats & fancy trim ... for road trips, towing the boat to the 2nd home, taking the kid to college, etc. Cargo easily finds the right storage inside, it's quiet, mellow chimes, minimal tech unless you specifically want it, lincoln embrace, etc. This for the person looking for a little peace & sanctuary - it's less a statement piece and more an effortless tool.

Kind of the "you buy an Escalade for other people; you buy a Navigator for you" type of thing.

Cadillac is going the BMW techie route with post-modern interiors, tons of tech screens, flashy exterior, etc - that's clearly a different customer ...

Then Jeep seems to be splitting the difference with the GW: old conservative woody updated to modern times with hide-away tech.

The Germans & Japanese don't really compete in this space IMO due to size - you can legit fit 6 full size adults in a 'Gator in comfort; that's not true of anything German or Japanese.

O I wasn't talking about TFL, I like their videos, for the most part. I meant the comments for the video and other videos for the nav and expy.

New to the forum here. Just recently (last weekend) ordered my first ever Lincoln product (Navigator). Originally had an order for a Grand Wagoneer but long wait times and continual problems/issues being reported along with the lack of a premium feel from dealership and customer service led me to cancel 3 months into the process. I do understand that the wait times are long here too until they start going to full production. I noticed some referencing tracking of the vehicle. How do I get plugged into this or is it even worth it due to inaccuracy of dates reported?
