Corsair lead time

What is your recent experience ordering your new car.
I ordered mine on Oct 15 and I just got my VIN and build date for the week of 1/31/22. Mine is a fleet order if that helps. This is my 7th company car, all Ford or Lincoln’s and it’s historically been 12 weeks from order to delivery. So, I’m kinda happy with this time frame given everything else. I was expecting a May/June delivery. So I’ll take February!

ThoP, I’m on pretty much the exact same timeline as you for a retail order. Placed on 10/9, just received my build week of 1/31, so hopefully delivery sometime in mid to late February if all goes well.

Wow your reply’s don’t make me feel better. I ordered November 20th co guess it’s end February or even March

Yeah, I would say spring if you are lucky. That seems to be about the average.

I ordered my 2021 on July 5 and took delivery on October 1. My salesman said he was surprised it came in so quickly. The 2022 model was supposed to start building on October 31. However, due to parts shortages, the Job 1 production date was pushed back to December 2. My understanding is the factory is producing vehicles but is still having intermittent parts shortages that are not related to the microchip shortages. Patience is a virtue. If your vehicle gets pushed out too far, reach out to the Lincoln concierge and complain. They may be able to offer you some sort of special financing or some other perk.

Interesting. Mine said build this week. Tracker has yet to update saying built or window sticker available. I doubt mine, with the highest priority and an order on Oct 3 will be built before your stated date. Unless the tracking site isn't functioning, which could be the case and then mine may already be built. But, if I were you I wouldn't be surprised if yours gets pushed back a month or more. Mine has since the initial build date they sent me was Nov 29 week.

Maybe there's a feature I ordered that they can't get parts for, and maybe yours doesn't have those hard to get features. Who knows at this point

I agree, HonestZabe. The car manufacturers are messed up for sure these days. I did hear from a buddy of mine that has been with Ford 20 years and he said the chip supply has gone way up for them and so they are making more cars this month. We'll see.

Yes, it might be a feature. I ordered just about every damn option there is for the GT except some of the minor ones. When I ordered it the dealer said that they already had about 10 GT's on order so it's possible the factory may take one of those and assign it to me. The dealer is a very large Ford dealer and their Lincoln side not as big but Ford does favor them. We'll see. I'm optimistic. If I get it in January that is great. I have always ordered my Ford vehicles and received them within 6 weeks. It's the best way to go in my book. This will be my first Lincoln and I am excited as the Corsair is gorgeous in my book and then when I saw the GT option that did it as I love hybrids. My Ford Fusion Hybrid gets 44 MPG and has been flawless so I'm selling that this weekend.

I took delivery this week of my Corsair GT and found the whole process incredibly easy. The car phenomenal quality and looks. Wow. I'm so impressed. I ordered on 12/1 and got an email from Lincoln (system generated) that production would happen 2/28/22 and they gave me the VIN. Two weeks later I got another system generated email saying they had moved up my production to 1/7/22! I was floored because I had been watching this site and seeing the delays. Sure enough the windows sticker became active at that time and I followed it and saw it was produced on that date. I couple weeks later I asked the dealer to look up where the car was and they said it had been shipped via rail to a southern Virginia rail/truck depot and was sitting 2 hours away. The next day they called to say it would be arriving that day and I could come at 3pm to complete the process. I did and was home by 5pm with the car reporting empty battery. Plugged that sucker into my new ChargePoint Home and it charged up fully in 3 hours. Drove my first EV mode trip and got 78 eMPG! Unreal. What a car this beast is. I went to the grocery and when I came out, there were 3 guys looking at the car. They were blown away when I opened up the doors to show them the camel/black interior and the oohs and ahh sounds were unison! All wanted the name of my dealer and how to order one of these. I've had a couple people at stop lights roll their windows down and tell me they loved the car looks. I love that. The wait was worth it.

By the way, I spoke to the owner of the dealership and they were amazed how quick my car got here. They had three of these come in for orders and think that because they had 3 orders at the same time that Lincoln moved it up because they were making a batch of the GT models in a large run. Apparently, the dealer is the 4th largest dealer on the East Coast for Lincoln and they get priority particularly on the Corsairs. They are selling tons of the GT model now with EV excitement, gas prices going up and hybrids now in favor, small SUV market getting hotter, and Lincoln's new look with their models getting a lot more business these days. They have faired well during the pandemic with business busy. When I was there signing my papers I noticed every sales rep was with a customer and people waiting. Good sign for healthy dealership in my book.

Congrats, Heyward! What color did you get?

My build is scheduled for 2/7, so getting closer...

Did you order option packages? Few or none may have help speed the process.
I ordered early in December, and received order confirmation email on Dec 12. And that's all I've heard. I ordered every option package, which may have complicated things, in Bronze Smoke color. Dealer is fair-sized Jag/LR/Lincoln store, from which I've previously purchased Jags.

Ted, in my case I ordered all the options aside from the tow package and the bigger wheels. Order date / confirmed on 10/9, got my VIN on 12/8, and my original build week of 1/31 was pushed to 2/7. Heyward had a very fortunate schedule; from what I can tell most people are in the 4-5 months range from order to delivery.

At that rate, I could see a VIN in another six weeks, and the car two months later.
Not a concern for me, except I'll probably be moving out-of-state before then. I asked the dealer if I could get the car shipped to TN instead of his store, and was told no. I may cancel my order and place a new order in TN.

I ordered 10/30 with confirmation email right away. Next email on 1/13 giving production date of 3/14.

GT PHEV , Red Carpet, Ebony/Cashew with Elements Technology Bundle and Copilot 360 Plus options

My dealer is a combo Ford/Lincoln/Mazda/Volvo. Don't know his sales volume but would bet it is relatively small.
