2021 Nautilus backup camera distortion

Just test drove 2 new 2021 Nautilus and both backup cameras have significant distortion and jitteriness... anyone have thoughts about this.. Didn't Ford just recall thousands of cars and SUVs with the same problem?

Hi Jjs. I know there has been an SSM or TSB for rear view cameras in some vehicles. Not sure if it is classified as a recall.

If there is a recall that applied to those two vehicles, perhaps the Dealer did not perform it yet. Many Dealers do not bother performing recalls on their stock inventory for recommended services/TSB's etc., until the vehicle is sold. Although they should.

And some Dealers neglect to perform the proper due diligence even when they are sold.

I also just test drove the 2021 Nautilus and found the same problem. I asked the service manager to look at it for me, he thought it needed replacing. when he tried to order a new camera, he found a message from Lincoln that stated "this is a software compatibility issue - do not order a new camera". So I guess Lincoln is selling a $70,000 vehicle that it knows does not function properly ? Very disappointing.
