I have seen plenty of kits out there to convert the rear suspension on the town car from air bag to coil spring, but have not found any that are for the front suspension. Has anyone found a kit for the front conversion or do you have any suggestions? My front suspension is giving me problems at the moment on my '09 town car. Thanks in advance

I don't think any of the Town Cars has front air suspension. It is a double wishbone setup with a cartridge shock and removable steel spring mounted to the shock between the upper and lower wishbones. The spring and cartridge shock are replaceable individually?

What problems are you having with the front suspension?

Howdy Birdman73 and welcome. There are a lot of wear points in front suspension that eventually need attention. Other than knowing the shocks are worn out when it gets too bouncy, I'm not experienced enough to advise on front ends but if you give some detail on what the problems are, then some of the others around here may be able to. As for a conversion, there really isn't anything to convert. There is no air suspension in the front of the Town Car. It is traditional coil springs and shocks. Since the redesign with rack and pinion steering started in '03, the Town Car has struts in front, with shock inside the coil.

edit: I type too slow, Town beat me :)

The Continental ('84-'92 IIRC) had front air suspension but never a Town Car.
