This past week was a banner week in the purchase of the GT. I learned that Canadians can’t use the sites that allow you to search build dates but thanks to the help of Lincoln concierge, I was able to find out the VIN and schedule week of April 25, 2023. Looks to be getting close.
In addition to this my dealer brought into stock a 2022 Pristine White GT that I was able to take for a short test drive. I was concerned about the noisy ICE on acceleration. I couldn't take it too far as there was a customer making a deal on the GT. I didn’t notice the louder engine sound comparing it to my current 2020 Reserve with 2.3L. The dealer currently has 14 Corsairs on the lot (all reserves) and a mix of 2021 and 2022’s. I finally was able to see the elite blue colour on one of the reserves in person. I can see now why Kingdre liked the colour as well.
Anyway this week, I’m a happy Lincoln customer!

Hey Tim!

I am so happy to be the first to welcome you to this group.

Have two things to say to you...

First, this is an awesome group of people on this forum. I came here with so many questions and a major problem and everyone has been helpful and extremely polite. I have been on other car brand forums before settling on the Corsair and I didn't find the attitudes there to be nearly as friendly.

Second, this is going to sound a bit odd coming from someone that just had a major breakdown in his first three months of Corsair GT ownership (see my other thread)...

Been driving Lincolns for a long time. Leased them for years. The 2022 GT was my first purchase. I think it's an excellent vehicle when it's operational. I'm experiencing a repair at the moment, but for the past two months, I have really been enjoying the ride. Lincoln vehicles have a very unique, smooth ride that is signature to their brand. I hope that you get to experience that.

Will be interested to see if the engine acceleration noise bothers you anymore. I am glad to hear that it hasn't, but it's my only negative about this trim.

Thanks so much. Yes, the color is so... sexy because its different. I find that ICE is only 'loud' when Im going up a sharp or LONG hill. We have them in GA, but most people dont know it. I also find that when it gets loud, if i let off the gas for a second, it seems to 'downshift' like an automatic, then get a little quieter.

Has Lincoln dealer figured out the issue with your new GT yet? Sorry to hear this happened after 1,000 miles. I've got about 1800 now with no issues.

They won't see the vehicle until tomorrow.

What they suspect -- from what I talked to the local service tech on the phone -- is the switcher module that controls the piano key shifter. The tow truck driver said these kinds of module fails are very common to this kind of shifter.

At least if that's what it is, then the repair should be fixable without having to go to lemon law status.

Right. No way this is lemon law.

The car is at the dealership now. Could take a few weeks to be fixed. I'll update all of you on what actually went wrong.
