uneven air distribution from dash vents

This my first post so if I do something wrong let me know.
This my first town car (2003) I purchased last fall so I am new to the lincoln family.
The car has auto hvac with dual side controls and it seems to be working as it should, heat to floor, defrost to windshield and air conditioning to dash vents.
The problem is uneven distribution of air from the dash vents. Passenger side inboard vent has about 70-80% of the cold air flow.
I have pulled the dash panel with the vents to see if I can find a blockage, I far as I can see there is no blockage.
Is there a control control of some kind that could be guiding the air mostly to one side or is there defect of some kind?
Any help is appreciated, it's getting hot outside.

I would inspect the vent tubing for any leaks
Inspect the blower motor to make sure it operates as it should and the fan blades are not clogged with any debris

Are the other vents fully open? I’m having a similar issue but just low flow out the vents.

Part of that may be least resistance to air flow.
The HVAC system output will be in the center of the vehicle.
The defrosters and floor vents is pretty much in the center of the car.

When it comes to the panel vents, the outer ends are furthest from the source.
Reducing the volume of air flow in the center vents may push more air flow to the ends.

Do a EATC diagnostic test. I forget the button sequence. Just google it. this will tell you if your blend doors are operating correctly and fully.

Thanks for your replies.
I have checked the tube for leaks.
I don't think there is an obstruction to air flow from the fan, too much air coming out.
All of the vents are fully opened as seen from the back of the vent when removed dash panel.
I understand most of the air would come from the center vents, but this problem is most of the air is coming from only one center vent.
I have observed both visually and by hand that the opening from the fan is not obstructed in any way. But when I run the fan almost all of the air is moving to the passenger side center vent and not evenly distributed to both center vents.
There is evidence that someone has been in the dash so I don't know if they were trying fix problem or they caused when fixing something else.
I am wondering if there was a stationery guide that was to split the air flow to both side and was removed during previous repair.
I can't find a layout of the dash air system to see what the components look like. If anyone knows where this found I appreciate knowing.

Chiming in late here, but both my 07 & current 05 have stronger air coming from the pax side. May just be the way they function as they get older, seals become less effective, etc.

Seals, you mean the ones in the control head?

No, just the foam strips where the various ducts slip together.

I have pulled what I can from the dash without removing the whole dash and there seems to be no leaks (seals) and all the doors are working.
The air seems to be moving more to one side when it comes out of the main duct from the fan, thus more delivery to the passenger side than the driver side.
I did see a "splitter" (I don't know what else to call it) that should even out the flow between the two sides. This happens even in the recirc mode, so I don't think it is a blockage in the air inlet.
I am wondering if there could be some blockage of the evaporator making an air vortex causing the movement to favor one side more than the other.
Or is this just bad design.
Maybe I am just over thinking this when I am sweating in the driver's seat.

Just this weekend I was thinking about this thread while driving my car. My center-passenger vent puts out significantly more volume of air then either driver side, and more than the far passenger side. I think that's just the nature of the beast.

Best you can do is to verify proper blower motor operation and that the fan blades are not clogged with debris.
Inspect every inch of fresh air intake and dash vents and tubing used. Look for any cracks, rodent damage, splits/tears, debris
Verify all actuators are functioning properly

I want to let everyone know that I came up with a modification to manually control where airflow comes from since my AC registers were constantly hunting. After doing this modification, the amount of airflow coming from the panel vents is pretty darn decent.
