Town Car lubrication of door ajar switch

The 1998 and up Town Cars have the door ajar switch mounted in the top of the latch mechanism. It needs to be lubricated at least annually. If it seizes then the interior lights will stay on when the door is closed.

Attached is a document that shows the location of the switch and how to lubricate it.

i have the same problem with the interior lights, but the door ajar indicator light in dash is not on......could this still be these dip switches>? or perhaps in the headlight switch ?

Not likely the door ajar switch(s). What year Town Car do you have?
