Touch Screen rattle/squeak

I will intermittently hear a small squeak/rattle sort of noise that seems to be coming from the touch screen area. Happens on irregular road surfaces (doesn’t have to be bumpy). Not real loud, just annoying. Anyone have any experience with this? It’s a 2023 Reserve with 1,800 miles.

I have the same issue. It sounds like coins rattling to me and it comes from the front touch screen area when driving on rough road. I tried holding the touch screen while driving and pressing other areas with no improvement. SOmetimes I think it comes from the sliding cover on the middle console.

Yup, big time noise related to the TV screen mounting inside the dash somehow. Its on my list of repairs for my next dealer visit.

Yup, just bought a 2023 Corsair with 300 miles on it now and the infotainment center makes a terrible squeaking noise on rough roads. I can hold my hand on the screen and it will stop. Going back to the dealership Monday

I have it too. Smooth roads its fine. Rough roads not so much. Wasn't positive where the squeak was coming from so I experimented a little. I tried placing layers of acetate film between the screen and the middle support. I think that did help some. What it did do is confirm where the squeak is coming from.

Same issue with 2023 Corsair Reserve, 300 miles so far. This squeaky rattle sounds like it could be coming from the glove box or the passenger door, but when I put my hand on the info screen (top right side) it seems to stop or be reduced. On the most smooth roads, it is not apparent, but our roads are rarely very smooth, so you hear it all the time, mostly above 20 MPH. My 2020 Corsair never had any rattle issues. I did not have this rattle the first few days of ownership, but it developed in the first week. Truly annoying.

Vehicle was built the last week of July 2023.

As a follow up - all the squeaks and rattles are gone. Zero. Nada. What I actually used was a left-over iPad screen protector that I cut into short strips, layered them so they got thicker the deeper I pushed them in. There is a block-like projection in the middle of the screen between the screen and the dashboard. Put in a few sets and crossed my fingers. It worked!

What I actually used was a left-over iPad screen protector that I cut into short strips, layered them so they got thicker the deeper I pushed them in. There is a block-like projection in the middle of the screen between the screen and the dashboard. Put in a few sets and crossed my fingers. It worked!

Thanks for the tip! I had the same problem took it back to the dealer and they replaced the screen. Much much better! Not totally silent but now it only happens on a really, really rough road. I will try your tip.

Mine is in as we speak. No squeek/rattle until vehicle hit about 1000 miles and it's gotten much worse over the last 700 miles.

I pushed on the touch panel to let him hear the squeak and he immediately said that is how all 2023 Corsairs are built. I explained that may be true but a car shouldn't have a loud squeaking noise over rough pavement. I also gave him a printout of this thread which he took with a look of disgust. We will see if it gets fixed.

Just noticed same rattle on my 23 GT. Could you explain further where exactly the pieces of protector were inserted. Is this behind the back of the screen or front?

I followed the tip and inserted some in the front in the middle of the screen and then some in the back behind the two corners. Worked great!!

If you look through the windshield while standing outside at the passenger vent window, behind the screen is an approx. 6 inch strip that the screen butts up against. This is a foam strip probably meant to prevent squeaks. I put the strips between the screen and this foam strip.

Follow up....The dealer replaced the display and said he tested the car and the squeak was gone. After driving for about a half hour the squeak is back the same as before when driving on rough roads. The dealer took a video of the removed display showing the squeak when pressing on the foam tape stuck to the back of the display. Since all the displays have this foam tape, replacing the display accomplishes nothing.

Can you share the video or a photo of the supposed squeak source part(s)?
It definitely sounds like a styrofoam rubbing type squeak. Is there no way to carefully spray some silicone lube on the offending area?
