Has anyone else had excessive tire west? I have a 2018 Continental. Garage kept, 13,000 miles and my tires are shot. They were rotated each year, but the camber o. The right-side is so tight/aggressive it rips up tires. Like I said I got 13,000 miles out of 45,000 mile tires. All the dealer says is they were 6 yr old tires. Sorry. All they did was look at the age, not the premature wear. Any o e else have that problem?

With 0 degrees Camber and tires are getting heavy wear it must be the toe in is way off.
Have you kept the tire pressure at 38 lbs. consistently?
Do you have all wheel drive?

At 6 years no shop likes your tires. Of course they are happy to sell you some fresh tires.

If you buy new tires, ask for fresh tires - say no older than 3 months old. (All shops can get fresh tires - if they want to).
If your tires are not cracking, keep driving them.

My car tires get old before I wear them out. I drive them locally until the cracks get too long and start linking together. If I plan to drive a long trip I get new tires.

Hi G55193. In addition to the good information provided by Dwurz above...You don't mention how often you have had the wheel alignment checked on your Continental or when the last wheel alignment was performed? This sounds like it very well could be an alignment issue, so that information may be important.

And when you state "All the dealer says..." are you referring to your Lincoln Dealership or a tire dealer?

Keep us updated and good luck.

Speaking as a guy whose hobby intends to eat a set of tires in 100 miles or so, what were those 13k miles like?

Romping highway ramps? Storming twisty back roads?

Camber limited cars eat the outside shoulder in hard or even moderate cornering, to the point we'll flip them on the wheels to sacrifice both shoulders before calling them done. Regardless of what you do with the current tires, I will suggest getting an alignment and shoot for more like 1-2 degrees of camber, or the most you can get and stay consistent side/side, for the front and half that value for the rear. That should improve things for the next set.

PS in my experience dealers may be less willing to vary from "the spec", and in my experience are more likely to blow keeping their alignment racks calibrated. A reputable tire store chain or trusted independent may be a better bet for that work.
