Hey Everyone!

Just wondering what your opinions/experiences are with throttle body spacers on these cars. I recently had to replace the intake manifold on my 07 Town Car and OEM was way more expensive than the aftermarket Dorman one, so I ended up getting the Dorman. I've heard excellent reviews on them and it was reasonably priced. Anyways after the swap (the one that came off was oem) I experienced a slight decrease in throttle response and acceleration. It used to be like a rocket, now not so much. I can only assume that the intake is slightly more restrictive. Had just cleaned the throttle body itself a month prior to the change so it's not that. I've heard mixed reviews on these throttle body spacers and don't want to burn $100+ on something that either doesn't work, or is detrimental to the engine. Everything is bone stock less the k&n air filter (just the filter; car has oem filter housing and associated ducting to throttle body). Has anyone used one on these ford 4.6's? Does it help or just a waste of money?

Thanks!

Waste of money.
