Replace rear passenger door pillar

IMG_8217.webpThe rear pillar fell off when driving. The shop quoted $1,000 to replace. I’m trying to find parts and DIY, any ideas of this is a DIY replacement?
 
Is that piece that "fell" off not just a plastic clip on piece? If so, you should be able to get the part number and source that online. If not, then it is more involved and probably involves removing the door panel, glass, etc. That would explain the quote you received. The part is probably less than $25. The rest would be labor. That is what it looked like, it just had the adhesive on the back. I'll have to get the part number, I was searching the internet but couldn't find that exact part. Thanks!
 
I'll ask for the part number. I tried searching the internet, but no luck. The part was just attached using adhesive strips, so I thought it would be a simple fix. Thanks for the response!
