My Lincoln
2005 Lincoln Town Car Signature L
I have 2005 Town Car Signature L
Having problems in air suspension system. What could be the problem if my car sink down overnight to the ground. I checked for air like by listening and soapy water spray and I found nothing. Can any one tell me what to replace and it is the most common failure?

Most common is air bag leaking at the fold.
That kind of leak can start as an intermediate leak. Sometimes it does and others times not so much.

There are other areas and the air bag is most common.

How old are the air bag you have?
If original, (18 years) they are at the end of their service life and would be highly suspect for a slow leak.

Thank you for Quick response. I find your analysis is very reasonable for my situation I will think to invest my money on those old air bags. But is there any othe areas I must count the most?

Action is correct. Open the trunk and flip the suspension switch to off then jack up the rear of the vehicle to extend the airbags and expose the fold on the bottoms.

Spray liberally with soapy water and watch for bubbles..

Those airbags are the common problem due to age and wear

There are definitely other areas.
And an air bag leak is the majority (over 50%) of the time the issue. Which is what you asked.
I have never owned a Town Car. I believe they have bags on the rear only.
Rears on any vehicle are usually easier than front bags.
I have changed bags on my Navigator once and a Mark VIII multiple times.

If not the bags on the bottom from dry rotted, you should also check the o-rings on the driver and passenger solenoids , they are a known problem area also, as is the compressor, the air dryer, the lines, the fittings, the solenoids themselves, and last but not least, the module itself, good luck. For about $60 you could switch over to coil springs in the rear and forget all about the bags, or invest a few 100 dollars in the air suspension system and replace what you have, your choice. Once again, good luck .
