My subscription to Premium Connectivity expires in July 2025. Does anyone know what this actually affects? Dealer does not know for sure. do I lose Google Maps, Voice commands, something else, or just Youtube, Spotify, and stuff like that I don't ever use.

You will lose all of those and Ibelieve without the maps Blue cruise maybe affected.

I cannot see any value for it if the chart is true.

And I presume that if you let it expire, you could re-initiate it at a later time if you found that you had lost something that you really wanted??

The Lincoln website has some information.

Here is a handy chart:

For me, the extra $10 doesn't seem to be a good fit since I don't do anything beyond what is included in the base subscription.

I’m sure you can. Lincoln will always take your money.

Thanks for the info. It seems that the only things affected are Alexa and some music stuff. I can live without those, I'm with you that the base system should be all I need. I guess we'll see for sure in July.

All these new systems in every car on the planet are great, but it would be nice if the manufacturers would be clearer on how they work and what is covered and for how long. It's a crap shoot asking sales or service personnel.

The pricing of $10 per month makes sense for the above features list. The only significant thing that $10 is paying for is Amazon Music streaming, which is about what it costs if you purchase it on your own.

What functionalities do I lose when my Lincoln Premium Connectivity subscription ends?
minus-close.svg

If connectivity is no longer available, some features within the Lincoln Digital Experience will no longer function or will not function the same as when connected.

Without connectivity, the following changes will happen to in-vehicle features:

  • Google Maps will not provide real-time traffic data or download new offline maps.
  • With Google Assistant, you can only manage local vehicle controls, such as playing the radio and adjusting the climate controls while keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.
  • Google Play will not be available.
  • Alexa will still be available for use if you are within the complimentary 3-year trial of Alexa Built-in. Enhanced Alexa functionality, such as flash briefings, long-form news, and in-vehicle games through Alexa will not be available.
Once your Lincoln Premium Connectivity subscription ends, you can continue your connected experience by connecting your vehicle to the internet through a Wi-Fi hotspot such as your phone, or a stationary Wi-Fi source such as your home internet when parked.

That was an Alexa-focused link. @angore OP in this thread has a screenshot which captures top-level info on the subscriptions: Lincoln Connected Services (looking for confirmation on some aspects)

It's worth checking with Concierge, but sounds like Premium Connectivity is needed for access to Google Maps/traffic info and the Google Play Store (for AAOS apps).

So what determines if you should have one or four years trial period?

I guess it's determined by the trim level you get. I got the Reserve II and the premium connectivity is 18 months, FWIW. Bluecruise was 48 months, Alexa was 36 months. Not basing this on anything other than mine, so take it with a grain of salt.

I have a 2024 Black Label and 16mo premium connectivity and 4 years blue cruise.

Interesting, I have not tried this yet but want to. My account shows I have Alexa until my CPO date ends in May of 2027, but no Lincoln Premium Connectivity. Not sure if I can use Alexa without it? Or yes, but on wifi only? (Tethering from my phone, or near my home router?). I remember using built-in Nav when I first got car that it seemed "smarter": it could find the Mario Cuomo Bridge for example, vs tapanzee (older name) when I was trying to force a route. Maybe I had that until it lapsed, or I turned off connectivity in the car?

This might be worth a call to concierge. Not sure I would pay for anything, but greater clarity would increase the odds.

I guess I also wonder if my car receives automatic updates (such as sync system) and when. I think I added my home router, but is that the only way it gets those?

Finally, I wonder if I could purchase a Nav upgrade. I use Android Auto so much it may not really matter, but just wondering if that upgrades your base and if there is a list of releases/.years available.

I have a R2 also. My BC and Alexa are same as yours, and my Premium Connectivity was 1 year when I bought it, but was later extended to ~16 months (7/1/25).

2025s increased everything to 4 years.
Agreed. Our 2025 has 4 years of connectivity included. Which is great!

I've turned off android auto on my phone and have just been using the native Android in our Nauti with Bluetooth with the phone for text messages and phone calls. It is nice having it all in the car itself. And the ability to watch YouTube when waiting in the car for takeout or picking up someone.

OK, I finally hooked up Alexa. It works well in my driveway, but I realized I have my home wifi connected, so not sure if it works on the road? For whatever reason I have Alexa until the 6 year anniversary date of my car's in-service date, according to my Lincoln account. No evidence that CPO gives that to you, but maybe it had never been installed on sync earlier? no idea really.

Question: I cannot find a price to continue after. I can add streaming with Lincoln Premium Connectivity, but if I just want basic Alexa after the trial period, does anyone know if that is available separate from Lincoln Premium Connectivity, or does Lincoln Premium Connectivity at that point give you all of Alexa, including streaming? In other words, can I get basic Alexa alone and what would it cost, or after the trial do I just get Lincoln Premium Connectivity, or would I need both at separate cost?

Second: this image comes from a Lincoln Connected Services page when I am logged in. It suggests that Alexa has a screen/visual component: in this case. a shopping list. When I tried, the shopping list "skill" was audio only. Is the image below just bogus?

Third and finally, I read this:

Alexa Built-in Features
minus-close.svg

Combined with the Lincoln Way®† App, you can:

  • Start/stop your engine.
  • Lock/unlock your doors.
  • Check your vehicle range.
  • Check your tire pressure.
What does this mean? The lincoln way app gives me these, but what does it have do with Alexa? I sat in the car and tried "Alexa, start/stop my car" and it did not understand. The documentation is abysmal.

Regarding #3, you can link your Lincoln Way account to your Alexa account and use your home Echo devices to say "Alexa, ask Lincoln Way how much gas I have" or "Alexa, lock my car". This is a Skill you need to set up on your Alexa account before the commands work.
