Pedestrian Alert Recall Notification

Some have said the 2026 models have the brake fix. I did go to ford parts site and saw no difference between 24 and 26 brake related part numbers in my quick check but may have missed something.

The brake issue has been addressed in service bulletin SSM 54264. The parts aren't available yet, at least they weren't two weeks ago when I checked with my dealer. They'll most likely be available the first quarter of 2026.
Lincoln Service Manager said: "Engineering does not have a fix for the brakes and we cannot do anything, order parts, perform service, or submit warranty payback until that happens".

My point is that they are taking way too long to resolve a problem with technology that were invented in 1902 and mass produced in 1955. Can't make this stuff up....

I appreciate your point.

The noise is annoying but at least it doesn't effect functionality at all. I put around 23K on mine so far and it still occasionally makes the sound. I'm keeping an eye out for a fix but its not something I'm worried about. Eventually when the brakes start to get low ill probably upgrade the rotors with aftermarket anyway.

Or get a free brake job. Courtesy of Lincoln.

And end up with the same brakes again. It will only be warranty work for so long. Brakes are a wear item. I generally always upgrade at least brakes on any vehicle I keep more than a few years.
