I have a 2013 MKX V6 and am having a problem getting my oil leak diagnosed/repaired correctly. Is anyone else having leak problems? I only have 15,000 miles on it. This is my first Lincoln and I love the MKX but my confidence in customer care and quality is in question.

Yes under warranty but took them 3 try's and 30 days on the last attempt. After 2nd try I went under and diagnosed it myself! I was a mechanic for 40 years. It was a rear main seal. Not rocket surgery, ha! I was just wondering if ford had a problem with design and had to redesign the part. Hard to explain a thirty day repair with a rental out all that time also.

Oh yes! We have a certified 2011 MKX Priemium and have had it for a year. The dealership has replaced the front seal and solved the leaking oil problem. While in the process they discoverd that there was zero, notta, none, no oil pan gasket! Added one and couldn't believe that it came that way, they supposedly escalated the issue. When the front seal needs replacing, the engine has to be dropped down for access. I've had a drone sound at hiway speed from the front drivers side ever since, had the service mgr ride with me and he too heard that and clicking when applying brakes at low speed. Said he would get it in. That was two weeks ago!! So we'll see what happens and will post when this issue is resolved. Still like the vehicle, just can't understand why service personnel can't get it right the first time.
