My Lincoln
73 Continental MK IV
Hi I recently did a 1 wire alt. swap on my 73' Lincoln MK IV and ever since have not been able to get any power to the car. The battery is brand new and reads at full charge while all cables are held together at a junction post that is made out of a stainless steel bolt. All cables are in good shape and worked perfectly fine before the swap. I'm assuming I disconnected a wire from the alternator that supplies power but would like some advice as to what I should do. Thank you.

Contact the maker of the alternator.
It may not be working.
As a side note, one wire alternators are not that efficient. They have poor regulator control. Can over or under charge. The upsde is they are easy to install.

I do not understand, all cables are held together at a junction post that is made out of a stainless steel bolt?
Could this be a junction block?
Or better yet post a picture
