My Lincoln
2024 Corsair
Just want to introduce myself as a new member. I just purchased a 2024 Corsair Grand Touring plug-in hybrid and so far I really enjoy it. It's as nice and well built a car as I've ever owned though learning all the technology built into it has proved a bit challenging.

I'm not new to Lincolns...I used to own a 1970 Continental...a 2002 LS Sport. My dad owned a '49 Lincoln...a '62 Continental...the '70 (which he later gave to me)...and a '76 Mark IV.

I've owned many cars in my life...Pontiacs...Mustangs...Dodge Chargers...Studebakers...Avantis and Corvettes and a few others. I'm at the time of my life I only want one vehicle now and this Corsair is it...I'm expecting it will be my last car so I wanted a good one.

I hope to contribute here as regularly as I can and make some new acquaintances.

I picked up my 2024 GT a couple of months ago. For some reason, everything seems to be working great. I haven't had any issues to post.
Prior to this I had a 2022 Reserve which only had one small assembly problem - they didn't properly tighten the hangers on the exhaust pipe. Even the back up camera worked without any issues.

So not really a new member as I have signed up here January of 23. But I "lurk and learn" . I finally pulled the trigger and traded in our 15 Escape for a 24 Corsair Reserve. We are picking it up tomorrow so I will be active and hopefully add to the wisdom obtained in this forum.

I'll throw my info in as well. I'm also a new member here. I've owned my Corsair for about a month. I bought a '21 Reserve I 2.3 AWD with 33K. It was a lease return/certified Lincoln pre-owned at my local Ford/Lincoln dealer. I traded my '17 Fusion AWD/2.0 for it. Got a great deal from the dealer and love the car. Have been a Ford guy since 2000 when I bought a '98 Taurus. I hope to contribute here when I can.

Sounds like a great car. Our Corsair is a 24 so had to have the 2.0 which we have been happy with in previous Escape and Fusions. But, the 2.3 is definately an awesome engine. I have that in my Expolorer and youwill not be dissapointed. If it was still available I would have gotten that.

Yes, it's definitely nice. My Fusion had AWD and the 2.0, so when I went looking, I expected similar performance from the Corsair, since it (non-hybrid/GT) and the AWD Fusion weigh close to the same (like within 50-75 pounds). But driving it, I find that the Corsair's 2.3 and 8 speed (Fusion was a 6 speed) definitely make for snappy performance. It gets up and moves, quicker than the Fusion (by the seat of the pants anyway). I've surprised a few traffic light racers without trying to...

I got lucky--the dealer had 4 '21 Corsairs available that were lease turn ins that they Lincoln certified. Three of them were Standards, one with over 40K and 2 with slightly less mileage than mine so their prices were similar to the Reserve's. Turned out the 1 Reserve, that I ended up buying, had the Sport package, which of course adds the 2.3. So it was more an 'extra bonus' besides what I was looking for (a Reserve 201A which adds Co-Pilot 360+, Elements package and other stuff or a Standard with those items). But I'm not complaining! (Someone--probably the dealer--ordered it nicely--they chose the donut spare tire and the adaptive suspension too.)

Number 1 tip for this board. Never use the phrase “everything is working great”!
