- My Lincoln
- 2002 lincoln ls
Hello everyone,
I’m new here and looking for my second Lincoln. My first vehicle was a 2002 Lincoln LS with the V6, which was also my very first car. Over the years I’ve shifted more into trucks and currently run a small fleet that includes a 2004 Duramax dually, a 2019 Cummins, a 2022 F-350, and a 2024 Duramax 1500.
As our family continues to grow—currently my wife and I, along with two dogs (a 100+ lb Rottweiler and a 70 lb Shepherd), and hopefully a pregnancy in the near future—we’re considering selling the 2024 Duramax that my wife currently drives and moving into a 2022+ Nautilus. We’re having some difficulty deciding on the engine option.
For those with experience, has anyone gone with the 2.0L and been happy with it, or regretted the choice? For context, her daily driving is minimal (approximately 4 km each way to one of our businesses where she works part-time). Outside of that, it’s mostly longer highway trips, such as road trips to the nearest Costco about two hours away on relatively flat roads.
Our priorities are comfort, long-term reliability, and confident drivability, as we live in a mountain town. Speed and outright power are not major concerns, but I also don’t want to feel that we should have spent extra if the upgrade is truly worthwhile. Fuel efficiency isn’t a deciding factor, as this would be replacing a diesel truck with DEF and related costs.
Any insight, ownership experiences, or long-term feedback would be greatly appreciated. I appreciate everyone’s time and will be reading through other posts on the forum as well.
Thanks in advance,
LB
