DonL -- back to your original post, I agree that paying for map updates is BS. We are just trying to offer alternatives that are free and that work just as well or maybe better.

I personally would never pay for nav in the car if given the choice.

I prefer the built in system although test driving the new CarPlay with iOS 26 Developer Beta has been nice! New features including widgets (swipe to the left from the home screen) like a clock, calendar, smart home integration (apple HomeKit only so far) weather, and more. I dig it!

Sorry, we are all just trying to give you "free" options to help with your original comment versus paying an annual fee to Lincoln.

I did finally figure out how to connect my phone and use google maps

doesn't make me less insulted by Lincoln on the issue
