my 13 MKT died in a parking lot

Hi Guys,

After gym my wife couldn't get our MKT start, the brake hardened and there was no crank. So i have to save her, brought a battery booster and was able to start the car. Charged it for like 30 mins, went home and switched it off. Tried starting it back, it was a really slow crank but it did start. Checked the battery, the indicator/eye is red. Any thoughts? thanks!

Alternator, battery, or something has a draw while the car is off(charger, interior light, security system?). Really all I can think of.

I charge my battery about twice a month because I don't drive enough to keep it at a full charge. I always get a reminder because when I shut the ignition off the radio will also turn off in a few seconds and the 'Battery Saver' notification comes on the screen. As long as the battery is good, the radio won't turn off until I open the door. If you haven't had that message appear on the screen then you likely have another issue. Best to have the dealer check it out to ensure there isn't another issue. The battery itself should still be under warranty.

Update: my battery was bad, the service department of the stealership replaced it for free since it was still under warranty.
Went in an had my last free oil change and tire rotation as well. But when I went out, the service advisor gave me a $700 worth of recommended maintenance services. I was like, really? LOL
