LED Headlights

Ok, I have done an exhaustive search for this answer to no avail. If there is, please accept my apologizes.


I have an 06' Signature

I would like to upgrade to LED Headlight and maybe fog lights.

If you have switched over to LED for my Headlights, which ones did you choose? I am weary because of the cover that is on the back of the headlights. This creates a clearance issue. I don't want to modify or remove this cover obviously.

The 2006 model came as standard with halogen bulbs, but there was an option for HID lights using the "same" housing fitting. If you installed the factory HID system then it would be legal and an improvement over your existing halogens.

LED headlights are in their infancy for manufacturers and are very expensive and complex. If you were able to find LED headlights for your car they would not be legal.

LED auxiliary lights in the place below the headlights may not be too hard to find but I don't know since they are mounted too low to be of any use.
