I can't get the door that covers the cabin air filter loose. Doesn't look the same as YouTube videos, but some of those say they're for the MKZ as well. Those show pulling it loose from the left side with your fingers, but don't see that on mine. I see two hooks on the bottom, but can't get those loose. Nothing appears loose. What's the trick? Thanks!

I finally found this video that says just push down on the door. This looks like my car. With a little prying with a screwdriver, I got the right side to move slightly but not release. No joy on left side. Any ideas on how to get it loose?

What does the owners manual state?

JOY! After finding the correct video that showed where to push, I thought about it overnight. It was just stuck from old age (like me). So today, I sprayed the joints with WD-40, waited a bit, then tapped the upper catches with a big wrench. Out it came! Not very dirty, it turned out, for 28,000 miles. Think I had it changed about 15-20,000 miles.

Which reminds me of a funny. At the la-de-da Legacy West strip in Frisco, TX, Lincoln had all its models lined up to see and drive. They had a stand that had all the 7 or so cabin aromas to sample. (Guessing) spring bouquet, autumn leaves, winter mint, mountain high, summer's eve, etc. So I joked they need WD-40 aroma to get the men. My friend then recommended Armor-All. :) They were not amused.
