When we put our 22 GT into slippery mode yesterday, the display went from showing both power distribution and speedometer (with the large digital speed value shown in the centre of the arch) to a speedometer with only a small digital numeric value on the arch and few other bits of information. The display only changes to this when in Slippery or Conserve modes. All the others remain with the dual display content (this is the setting in the display setup we choose). We also have a 22 2.3 and when it is put into Slippery or Conserve modes, the display remains the same as when in other modes (other than indicating the mode).

Do all the GTs do this?

My GT does the single mode as above. I would love the first display but have never seen that one.

I usually just go into the display settings and turn on the tachometer option if I want to see it.

Seems to work on my 2020 Reserve, although given how rarely I need to rev-match the vehicle, it is typically just set to off.

On the GT, the setting isn't the tach but something like source power or something like that (I'm away from the car right now). But, it is turned on as shown in the picture I posted of the display while in normal mode. It just seems really weird that the display changes so dramatically when in Slippery mode while the 2.3 remains the same.

I see that the "Add tachometer to view" menu item on my vehicle does not appear to be available on the 2022 GT according to the owner's manual for that vehicle.

On my Reserve, that option is "sticky" and remains off for the various drive-modes, except for Excite - which turns it back on.

Interestingly, it is not associated with the driver profile - if my wife changes the setting in her profile, it also changes it for mine.

@heywardjr, do you get the single mode on all screens or only when in Slippery mode?

I'll get back to you later today. I'm sitting at the dealer getting 10,000 mile service work done now. Will check it on the drive home.
It turns out it comes up in Pure EC mode also. When I turn off HUD, the speed display shows the speed in large digits inside the arch. Turn HUD back on and the inside of the arch blanks out. Terrible presentation that just appears totally broken. Thanks.

Agree! The display should not change with or without the use of the HUD, in my opinion. I love the HUD, and will not turn it off, why should I have less in the istrument cluster?
