Hi,
My 2006 town car has a problem adding gas, the fuel nozzle stops every few seconds and most of it spits out the neck. Even if I use a gas can.
No check engine light on.
Going to try and replace the filler neck. The manual says you have to drop the tank, has anyone done this without dropping the tank?
If so, any tips/tricks for getting the neck out this way?
Some background information... The car has been sitting and the gas went bad, (smelly) replaced the pump and car started right up, runs somewhat poorly, even after putting in sea foam. Has about 1 gal of fuel in tank.
Could the anti siphon valve in the neck be bad? I tried to fish a siphon hose down the neck, but couldnt get very far.
I don’t have any trouble codes and no check engine light on either.
Could this mean the evap purge solenoid under the hood
And the solenoid in the charcoal canister pack are still Good?
