My Lincoln
2024 Nautilus Reserve II
I know I’ve seen a thread about E-z Pass location but can’t seem to find how to search so here goes. I typically don’t check my E-z pass account and hadn’t since I got the Nautilus in April. Turns out the transponder has not been working all the time in the location I installed it (to the rifght of the mirror below the sunscreen dots). I have spoken with the E-Z Pass folks and have moved it down lower, below the mirror in the center, and then in the sunscreen dots to the right. None of the work. They are now recommending I get a plate transponder. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I have a Tx Toll Tag, and it’s installed about an inch below the mirror

OP, the "sunscreen dots" mark the area where toll passes, radar detectors, etc. should be placed. There is no reflective metallic coating there. My toll pass is mounted there and there're no problem reading it.

We put the tags in the little dotted zones and they worked intermittently. We switched to the suction cups because we tinted the window and now it works great.

From what I recall from prior posts the best location is either directly to the left or the right of the rearview mirror in the area with the dots. The windshield has an acoustic coating that can prevent your transponder from working except with it is installed in these two areas. My carwash RFD transponder didn't work in the usual install locations for the same reason.
