My Lincoln
2003 Town Car
Usually the doors are supposed to lock as soon as you change the gear to drive. My Town Car isn't locking on it's own, I have to do it manually. Anyone know a fix for this?

Here's the steps verbatim from the owner's manual.

1. Turn the ignition key to RUN.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from RUN to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to RUN. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control. The horn will chirp once to indicate the
enabling/disabling of the autolock feature.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete. Pressing the power door unlock control again will toggle the Autolock/Relock states.

Turn ignition to OFF to exit programming

^^^^ Agree with this.

I was going to add none of my Lincolns lock upon shifting into gear. It is only after the vehicle is moving that the auto lock system locks the doors.
I do have older Lincolns so not sure if there were changes in later years.
