Help needed! Dead electrical system, but battery is fully charged
I drove home a few nights ago and shut off my car ('03 Cartier L), just as I remembered an errand I wanted to run. I tried to restart the car and something popped (it was a small "snap" that sounded like a low-amperage fuse blowing) and all the electricals seemed to have gone out.
The first thing I noticed was that the headlamps extinguished and the engine wouldn't start; then I realized the interior lights were all "off."
The errand wasn't critical, and it was close to midnight, and I figured the fuse would be simple to find & replace, so I went to bed.
The cubiform 30A & 50A fuses in the box near the battery all look okay; I have battery voltage at all the others except #19 and #20 (0V on each of those); doors & trunk closed, key in my pocket, hood up.
The only way I can think of to test the relays is to build a test rig that gives me 12V to the coil, and a convenient way to access the pins to ohm between the switchpoints. PLEASE tell me I don't need to do that! Ugh!
(A) If you know what I need to do to repair my car, please simply so state; in the alternative,
(B) if you know better how to troubleshoot this problem, please advise me towards that end.
Thanks for any and all helpful comments!
