Yes, one of the Ford parts 2k dash cams and installed myself. But, knowing the amount of work it takes, $309 is not a bad price if it is dealership and guaranteed work. It is not hard to install, just a lot of wires to run and hide through out the vehicle, especially if it is a front and rear camera system.

I understand it's quite a job to install. The price quoted on the Lincoln web site when designing and building a car is @229.00. II called Lincoln dealer to ask if that was the installed price as it does not say "installed". They didn't know. Car Toys wants several hundred dollars t install it if it is front and read camera.

I bought the $229 front-only camera and selected the optional $96 installation. It was well worth it. They installed it right below the rear view mirror. It's been reliable so far in the two weeks that I've owned it. It's doesn't connect to your phone via WiFi or Bluetooth. Instead, you take the memory card out of it and use a Windows PC program to watch the video and set the limited camera settings. Not a big deal to me. The camera slides out of its mount very easily.

My dealer quoted $179 to install. I believe if you purchase it off the Lincoln Accessories website it will quote the installation. Also, there is 15% off the price of the entire purchase of accessories (not including installation) that they run month to month. When I purchased mine it was $609. I know I could have purchased it for less money elsewhere but I want the dealer to install it so there are no quibbles about any warranty issues that could possibly arise later.

The current price is $699 or 139,800 points with a shown dealer installation cost of $156 or 31,200 points.

I'd like to install a dash cam, but am a bit dubious about the ones offered by Lincoln. With that said, you absolutely cannot beat the installation price. It's a steal. Any high-end shop install for a front- and rear-facing dash cam will charge at least 3x Lincoln's price.

To my knowledge, all of the dash cams that are offered by Lincoln are the Thinkware brand. I'm far from a dash cam expert but I think that's a fairly decent brand.

I looked at the FitcamX dash camera. Go to tube and watch them install this unit. Looks much better than the Thinkware offered by Lincoln.

After my drive last night with a totally crazy motorcyclist cutting me off I think I need a dash cam. Thinking of installing it myself. What do you all recommend? I want both front and rear facing cameras.

I purchased the 4K front/rear Thinkware Dascham from the Lincoln accessories website. My dealership installed it for free. The video is very high quality but should be at that price. I know you can purchase dashcams for less but I wanted the installation from the dealer so nothing inside got messed up.

There is always a discount of some sort happening on the website. This month, it is 15% off.

Not at all. This dashcam is set up to come on if there is any sort of contact felt in a parking lot such as someone bumping into your vehicle with their vehicle. Otherwise, it is snoozed until you start the vehicle.

I will be honest and say that I don't like the app interface on the phone. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and find the app doesn't automatically connect to the dashcam. You have to hit a button the dashcam for the app to connect and to view any videos. The videos are very high quality.

Looks nicely integrated to the center windshield cluster. Sad to see that it does not support the "parking mode". Probably because it is not inserted inband to the OBD port.

Funny. A couple of weeks ago, I had entered my email to have them tell me when the VNL3Z19G490D dash cam was back in stock.

In the last 24 hours, I've received 16 duplicate messages telling me it was back in stock. I have no idea when this will end. Maybe I have to wait until it's out of stock again.

Not sure, but would be difficult for them to argue as the ones they sell online @ Lincoln use the OBD port for power and drive/park notifications.
