Dashboard map - daytime mode only

Good afternoon all,

I just noticed this afternoon that the map on the dashboard when running android auto has gone from dark mode (night mode) to daytime (bright) mode. I see that AA updated to a new release on mu phone this morning, so I'm guessing that is the issue. Have done multiple resets, to no avail. Does anyone have thoughts on a workaround? For now I am only using native Google maps on the dashboard until there is a fix.

I too noticed this problem yesterday. Today its been working as it has since I purchased the vehicle.
I hoping we will not have to find any workarounds. Did your display work OK today?

Not solved yet. I sideloaded both old and beta versions of AA on my phone today and it didn't help. Then I deleted cache and data from AA and Google maps. I also reduced the dashboard brightness 1 notch to see if that is playing a role. It was OK then, but I'll wait until starting tomorrow to claim victory
