My Lincoln
2023 Lincoln Corsair
Here's the deal. I am seriously considering ordering a new Lincoln Corsair Reserve II or Standard II.

I like the idea of the tow package. This 2.0L EcoBoost engine is used on multiple other Ford vehicles and offers reasonable towing ability.

I honestly have never seen any new Lincoln Corsair with a tow package. Even if doesn't have a tow package Id consider a hitch and wiring harness.

With the factory tow package You can tow 3,000 lbs. Without the tow package you can tow 2000 lb. Factory tow package adds sway control, hitch and wiring, and auxillary transmission oil cooler.

How expensive for a hitch and wiring? I'm an electrician I would do the wiring myself. However it's a brand new vehicle and if I mess anything up I'm sure void the warranty. I've wired multiple trailer wiring harnesses in the past.

There is a dealer that has a 2023 Lincoln Corsair almost exactly as I would build it that is dealer ordered. It does not have the tow package and I'm thinking of whether at a hitch and be satisfied with that or order one with the tow package.

I've spoken to the dealership they cannot recall anyone ever ordering a Lincoln Corsair with a tow package or installing a hitch.

Order it with the towing package. That way you get a properly fitted receiver that the rear cowling accommodates (after market hitch requires cutting of the cowling), you get the higher rating (3000 vs 2000), correctly wired wiring harness, accommodation for the hands-free liftgate and anti-sway control. Plus the cost is very competative aginst the after market alternatives when you take all of the above mentioned reasons into consideration. Hands down a no-brainer if you are ordering.

I have two '22s (GT and 2.3), both of which have the towing package, plus I have '23 GT on order with it.

Good luck.

Yeah you kind of made my mind up. Also paying for trailer wiring install aftermarket is probably way costlier than a factory install.
It's It's just that a local dealership has a 2023 Corsair that is supposedly built in transit they have a window sticker for it that is almost identical to what I want. It's not spoken for and the only option it is lacking is exactly that, the trailer tow package.
Agree Id rather have the full 3000lbs ability. That can handle a typical single axle utility trailer you would find at Tractor supply for sale. Usually gross of 2990lb.
I work through a union craft and travel for my job. I don't like a big vehicle I don't want a huge truck. I was looking to step up to a Lincoln for the much better service perks. I wanted something capable of some light towing. I have an enclosed 4x6 utility trailer that I take sometimes as a luggage trailer.
