Rear seat rattle

I have the same problem and cannot locate it. When I put the seats down, the rattle is gone. I only notice when I hit a bump - a large tar strip. Anyone have any ideas on where to look?

Search interior rattle on this website. People have posted several good ideas to try. I did find that if I sit in the middle of the rear seat and go over a rough road surface, the rattle is not as bad or gone. I’ve looked under the seat for areas that could cause a rattle. I put rubber spacers in those areas. When NOT riding in the back seat the rattle is still there when going over rough surfaces. I’ve given up trying to find the problem. Very frustrating. While this is a very occasional issue, I’d like to get it corrected. As much as I don’t want to, I will take it to a dealer . Hopefully they have had this problem before or can get it corrected. I will post if the they find something. Otherwise, our Corsair is a great vehicle.

I believe I've solved the rear seat rattle problem. I saw on another site where someone moved the rear seats all the forward, placed a rolled up towel behind the seats and the cargo floor. They then moved the seats back actually forcing them as far as they would go. This puts pressure between the seat and cargo floor area. This seemed to stop my rattle. Also a possibility, there is a plastic cross brace above the sunroof shade. Move the sunroof shade back as far as it will go. Locate the black plastic cross brace and place rubber shims on top of the brace to stop it from rattling
