Congrats! This is also my first Lincoln. I think this may be one of those questions that falls under the blanket of "Sound is in the ear of the beholder" unfortunately. For instance I like my treble and bass cranked up and mids turned down a little. This is on the base system, and could be different on the Revel system.
Thank you! Didn’t realize there was different modesExactly.
Sound is very subjective. You won't get the same answer across the board.
I also like the bass and treble cranked up with the mids turned down a little. I use ONSTAGE rather than AUDIENCE.
I think I can give a little advice here that will enhance your listening experience.
The Revel system seems to be very top-heavy at normal settings meaning that you'll find most of the sound coming out of the front speaker directly on top of the center dash.
What made a huge difference for me was pushing the fader towards the rear speakers. So, in settings, I moved the fader 2-3 positions toward the rear. That creates a very enveloping sound experience where you hear music emanating from all the speakers. You do have to turn up the volume a little more (since you are throwing the sound a bit toward the back), but with a good music source, you should be amazed by the listening experience...
...which brings me to my mention of "good music source." If you want to experience the best of your Revel system, do not rely on SiriusXM. The sound quality of satellite radio is essentially garbage. While it is very clear, it is broadcast at a very low bitrate and the better your sound system the worse it sounds. Either use music you have downloaded at high bitrates (such as from Cds or MP3s at 360+ kbps) or subscribe to music services like Apple, Tidal, Amazon, or Qobuz that offer lossless music that will sound amazing in your vehicle.
(Note: I have the top-tier Revel system. All comments are based upon that trim level)
For sure I was just curious where to startCongrats! This is also my first Lincoln. I agree. There are a lot of adjustments on the sound that you can make with the Revel system as opposed to the base audio. The Revel on the GT makes JAZZ sound amazing to me! lol
