I just learned that our Lincoln's Alexa will not stream media (Amazon Music) without a connected service plan subscription -meaning if I want to listen to Amazon music I have to pay for it twice -once in the house and again in the Lincoln. Have I got that right?

Hi littleneil. Which model year Corsair/SYNC 3.4 or SYNC 4? Are you trying to stream wirelessly or connected via USB cable?

Thinking out loud here: I can stream Amazon music in my SYNC 3.0 equipped MKZ via USB cable. You should be able to stream via your phone when connected via USB cable, since your phone is the subscription holder.
Wirelessly streaming on SYNC 4 may be an issue. But would likely be an issue to take up with the Alexa subscription being limited to one device.

Also give Lincoln Concierge a call and bring it to their attention. They may have a solution, or at least helpful information to let you know what is possible.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Thanks for you response. It's a 2023 w/synch 4. I'm understanding now that to stream Amazon music (without a USB connection from my phone) I need to subscribe to the streaming services. BTW you appear to be a "wired" member, at least more than me. Can you take a swing at this problem. New car sits in my driveway, I press connectivity on screen, press wifi, press view wifi networks in range,= none found. I have two networks in the house, my next door neighbor has one, we have a vehicle hotspot network, car can't see any of them. Mobile phone and tablets see them all. What's going on?

Hi littleneil. I am a bit at a disadvantage without a SYNC 4 vehicle in front of me to go through the SYNC settings.

So this is only thinking out loud again: First...Is it possible you have your WiFi network hidden? Although your mobile phone and tablet "see them" now, it is possible they were connected before it was hidden, or connected after it was hidden via a WiFi network search using your actual WiFi network name?
Next...I would test to see if your SYNC 4 vehicle can recognize other known/public WiFi networks. Have you tried parking very close to a known/publicly accessible WiFi network/networks? Perhaps right in front of a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts, or other public WiFi network? Only for the purpose of testing to see if your vehicle will recognize it?

If none of those suggestions help, I am not sure why your SYNC 4 equipped Corsair will not even recognize your WiFi network (or your neighbors). My newer MKZ is equipped with SYNC 3. And SYNC 3 was not known for great WiFi updating capability, especially without an extremely strong signal.
I was able to get a mid-strength (at best) WiFi network signal in my driveway when parked front facing towards the house. A bar weaker when parked front facing out. Therefore, I installed a WiFi range extender at the closest outlet to my driveway, which gave me a nice/strong signal all the time. Perhaps try that?

Or as the last resort, stop by your Lincoln Dealership (if possible) to see if it will recognize their WiFi network. If it will not, ask your Service Advisor to take a walk out to your car so you can show them (to have it recognized as an issue), and schedule a service appointment.

I am sure other members will jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.

All good advice. I was kind of expecting you to suggest one of the "reset" nuke options. SYNC 4 has a "general screen" which has two "reset" options on it. (1) Factory Reset and (2) reset Lincoln Connect. I'm hesitant to use either. The on board modem seems to be working fine.

I’m going to take a guess at this one. If you have vehicle hotspot on your car is now like a router. So I think and I could be wrong. Wi Fi won’t work until you turn the vehicle hotspot off. Try it. Turn of hotspot and then turn on wi fi and see if it finds anything then. If I’m wrong just turn hotpot back on

Hi kittleneil. Yes...I am always extremely hesitant to suggest SYNC Master System Resets, battery disconnections etc., while a vehicle is still within the 4 year/50,000 mile new Vehicle Warranty period, or a LincolnProtect PremiumCare ESP plan (which covers SYNC/electronics),

In fact, I actively try to discourage them, since resets and battery disconnections will sometimes get things working again, but often only temporarily, while acting as a band-aid and hiding a more serious underlying issue. And those band-aids sometimes/often only last long enough for our warranties to expire. Then we are forced to pay out of pocket.

If no suggestions offered by other members work, I would follow DomDoobie's advice and schedule a service appointment. When you bring your vehicle in, physically demonstrate the issue to the Service Advisor, so you can avoid the dreaded "Could not duplicate customer concern" work invoice diagnosis. If the Service Advisor sees the issue occur, they can not say the problem did not occur while they had the vehicle.

Keep us updated and good luck.

maybe one of these solutions will help?

Thanks for taking the time to post that info. Unfortunately, none of the possible solutions worked for me. At first I thought it might be the ceramic tint but then remembered we had the car tinted the day it was delivered....and we've seen available networks shown on synch4 several times since then.

Hi littleneil. Blind Internet diagnosis sounds as though your home WiFi network may be "hidden".

Try this (if you have not already): Attempt to connect a device to your home network which has absolutely never been connected before. See if your home network shows up in the available list.

If you do not have a device which fits that description, go into the WiFi settings of your phone or another connected device, force it to forget your home WiFi network, and then see if you can reconnect it.

If your home WiFi network is not listed, it is hidden and you will need to go into the settings of your WiFi network and change settings to show it.

Keep us updated and good luck.

OK I will try it. But the chances of both of my neighbors networks' and my ATT wifi hotspot network all being hidden are slim and none.

...so after struggling with this issue for a few days including trying everything suggested here, I called my 14 year old grand daughter with the problem and she asked, " Have you disabled the wifi in your car and then re enabled it?" And guess what?? All the networks in range are visible again.

Yes, sometimes grandkids are the best tech support.
