Hi all,

Looking for any advice, warnings, etc. regarding the Corsair and specifically the 2021 MY. I plan on owning the car for the next 5ish years, so anything is appreciated.

One thing I am worried about is the lack of adaptive suspension, as it wasn’t optioned in often for these. I’m coming from a tuned VW Golf, and my wife drives a Mach E GT, so I want a really comfortable ride.

Any words are appreciated. TYIA

My 2020 doesn’t have adaptive suspension and I’m happy with the ride.

I have the 2022 and don't have the adaptive suspension and have no regrets. It's a very smooth ride for a compact car. Drive the Escape and the Corsair back to back and in my opionion you'll see the Corsair nails it on the suppleness vs the Escape that the Corsair is based on. YMMV.

I bought a CPO '21 Corsair Reserve in June. Love the car. Mine has the sport package (2.3, 20" wheels) and the adaptive suspension. The ride is nice, but I do not think it changes the ride or handling unless I switch to Excite mode. I don't do that much (to be honest, I forget that I have that capability) but the ride and handling in Normal mode is nice. It handles well (not quite as good as my old '17 Fusion AWD but close, especially for an SUV). I'd suggest a drive on your usual routes and see how you like it. Overall, the Corsair has a nice supple ride but I may not be the best to ask as the 20" wheels will also be different along with the adaptive suspension compared to what you're looking at. Overall, though, the car is great and I'd buy again. The '21 seems to be the sweet spot too as later models (Reserve and Standard) have some of their standard features omitted over time.
