2008 MKX
Help!!! Live in Montana and need to install a block heater (none from factory) on my daughter's 2008 MKX. I've reached out to the service department at the local ford dealership, and they say it's on the front of the engine underneath the catalytic converter. Mechanic buddy checked his software, and he says it's on the passenger side, back of engine, above oil filter. Can't find the plug in either location. I've scoured YouTube and can't find anything showing its location. Have looked extensively all over the engine, and just can't find where it attaches to the block. Anyone have a block heater who can actually trace it back to origin? Or have done the project yourself and know where it's located? Have never had this much difficulty finding an answer to what should be fairly simple. Thanks!

Hi Tsyvrud , per the manual it is located behind the right side ( passenger ) cat converter
Good luck with the install !

That helps a bunch! If I am looking at this correctly, it's on the back of the engine almost directly above oil drain plug?
