Black Label Center Console -> middle seat swap

Hello All -

I'm looking for a new car and the Aviator (pre-facelift) black label is on my list. I guess two questions are:
- has anyone swapped the center console for a middle seat?
- is the black label leather exclusive (I'm looking at one with dark brown leather interior)

I see a lot of people trying to swap for the console but can't seem to see if the reverse is possible (concerned about mounting points and electroics issues especially)

Yes, the Black Label leather choices are exclusive to the Black Label trim level.

Concerning swapping “the center console for a middle seat”? If you mean leaving the two captains chairs in place and adding a third captain’s chair where the console was?
I believe that would be a custom job. You would need to purchase a third suitable seat, then have custom fabrication performed (and probably wiring/electrical/programming), since the middle row seating choices in that Aviator are either two seats w/console (large or small), or a single large bench seat. There was no three Captain’s chair option in any trim level that I’m aware of.

On the other hand, if you are discussing removing the two captain’s chairs and console, then installing the bench seat? Yes, that could be done, although finding the correct bench seat and leather may be difficult and relatively expensive.
