Hey guys I am new to the forum. My name is Anthony and I recently purchased a Lincoln Continental 1993 (80kmiles)
I'm not very car savvy and I am yet to see a mechanic yet so I am curious if anyone can help me if so that would be great.
Now when I bought the car it was having problems staying alive as in the car would need to be jumped to start and it would technically die a minute or 2 after removing the jumper cables.
Assuming it was the alternator and or battery I purchased new ones. When I did this the car started fine. Drove it around a bit then after about 40 minutes or so the charge system light popped up again,
car started dimming again and the battery draining. Already dropped a good 300 on the car and 250 on parts so I am trying to figure out what else needs to be done to this car for it to run without dying on me.
I'm assuming its maybe something electrical shorting the battery or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
