Since I've had this vehicle I'v been selecting the auto stop/start disable button before I start my drive. I recently noticed the auto stop/start disable symbol on my instrument cluster (top left side) before I had pressed the button. I figured it was due to low battery because I've also received the battery saver/remote functions disabled warning on the app. But after driving quite a bit (60 miles in one day) for the last week, the remote functions disabled warning has been cleared but the auto stop/start disable symbol continues to illuminate when I start the car. This is not a problem because it appears I no longer have to manually disable auto stop/start, but also seems that even if I wanted to have this feature, it is no longer available. More of a curiosity ... perhaps a software update? Wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing?

Hi Kevin_G. There are multiple scenarios and environments where Auto Stop/Start is automatically disabled. They include low ambient temperatures, state of battery charge, chosen driving mode etc. etc.
They are outlined in the Owners Manual.

A good possibility is that your current driving environment fits one of those scenarios.

And of course, there is the possibility there is another issue which may need diagnosis and correction. However, this type of situation is usually “normal” operation.

I’m sure others will also jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.

You need a new 12V battery. Disabling auto stop/start is the first sign. Next come warnings about certain remote functions not being available.

Looks like you are in Colorado Springs and drive a 2025. Guessing maybe it gets below 25° there? The 2025 Nav loaner I am driving does not activate the auto stop/start at or below 25°. Maybe that's it?

It's mostly been above 25 here except at night but the car stays above freezing in the garage. Who knows, interesting quirk. I'm taking the car in for an oil change next week so I'll ask them to check the battery level.

Gosh, I hope not! Just bought the car in May of this year. The remote functions warning actually came on first, but since the auto stop/start has been defaulting to 'off', I haven't seen the warnings come back. But I've always activated the disable switch anyway so that shouldn't have been the cause of the battery drain. Who can know with these things. I'll ask the dealer next week when I take it in.
