Any idea if they will bring back the V6?

We have 2022 with the V6 and prefer this over the v4 or hybrid. Starting to think about new and would prefer to stick with the Nautilus if we can get a V6...

Forget it!
I am in same boat as you!
I am looking for a low mileage 2022/2023 2.7l Nautilus with factory trailer tow package. Hard to come by!
I love my 2023 Naut, and need another vehicle to replace my venerable 2006 Infiniti M35x.
Best I can see if I do not find the 22/23 Naut of my dreams is the Honda Pilot. Offers 5k lbs. tow capacity and is equipped with a normally aspirated V-6 ICE engine!
Way to go Honda! The only thing that beats a good turbo v-6 for longevity is a good V-6 non turbo!
Sadly, FoMoCo seems to have committed itself to going electric with 2 new plants coming online in the near future.
Ford still has the 3.0l /3.5l V-6 turbo, but only available in the Aviator on up.
I do not think FoMoCo will box themselves with only offering all electric/hybrid in the near future. I would hope they would be mindful of current buying trends. However, that being said, I do not foresee them reversing any decisions such as re-introducing the 2.7l in any current or future lineups. I am sure, if demand allows, they will keep the 3.0 / 3.5 V-6 ICE in their larger offerings for the foreseeable future, as market dictates.
We both are owners of the last of the greatest Nautilus's built by FoMoCo!

Very unlikely. We will probably see more hybrid 4 cylinder options and eventually more full EV options.
To be honest the hybrid drivetrain is smoother than the 2.7L but without the downshift kick and low gear pep it is not as fun to drive. I had the 3.7L N/A , 2.7EB and now the 2.0EB Hybrid and each was definitely an upgrade. A 2.7EB Hybrid would be the best of all though. The 8F57 trans ruins the 2.7L in the nautilus and the 2.0L sounds awful and lacks the power to make the hybrid fun. Put the 2.7L on the eCVT and we would be on to something.

The 8F57 trans is a good one after the update that gets rid of the shuddering on acceleration. The 2.7L EB is a really great engine. Very reliable too. Unfortunately though, I doubt they are coming back, emissions is keeping most manufacturers going the EV, PHEV, and smaller engines with turbos route. Ford is just trying to get ahead, while other manufacturers like Honda in this case are riding it out until the end.

I special ordered my 23 BL with the factory tow package. Im glad I did too. You MIGHT be able to get the factory tow package added to yours, they DO sell a kit for it. Part number is: K2GZ-17D826-A

My wife's 24 Nautilus is a very comfortable car to drive, and we both like it. She has a 2.0L ICE, and for a car of that price range it is grossly underpowered. We did test drive the hybrid before we bought the ICE version, and it was slightly better but still very underpowered. The gas mileage is good going to town and back, but on the highway it only gets about 31 mpg, which is similar to her 2015 Accura MDX with a 3.5L V6 and significantly more power. However the MDX used mid or high grade fuel and the Nautilus using 87 octane, making the fuel cost overall less than the MDX even if the mpg was similar.

The MDX actually made less HP than the hybrid and 40hp more than the ICE version. 0-60 is also similar around 7 seconds. The nautilus has a sluggish feel for sure but if you actually line up and directly compare it to other vehicles its not as slow as it feels. I had a buddy claim his escape was much faster... it does feel faster due to the kick down and harder launch from a stop. But my hybrid just walks right by it.

Since i have been using premium it feels perkier on hard acceleration. The 0 to 60 times in cars are mostly with premium.

Matt,
It appears that even when I add the factory tow pack afterwards, I loose the factory tow capacity from 3.5k down to 2.5k! Another member of this forum brought this out to me, as described in the owners manual!
Additionally, the factory tow package has an additional (trailer tow) module connected to the multiplex system. It integrates trailer tow with sway control, as you can activate on your screen. To duplicate screen activation sway, I would have to install & program a trailer tow module, as well as modify setting to about 5 other modules to integrate all of this, and to get screen activation as well.
Lastly, the factory trailer tow pack utilizes split lift gate sensors (separate harness on both sides) to remove lift gate activation errors from a trailer hitch hookup.
I close by saying...I envy you...wish I had a do-over!
I need another vehicle...we enjoy the 23' so much, the search continues for another 22/23 MY, this time with factory tow! They are very hard to come by, you have a keeper for sure!

How about its platform twin, Ford edge ST. Tow package is standard on the ST trim level and its very fun to drive.

I did consider...and I do like it! I see one 2025 leftover about 60 miles or so upstate of me. Local dealer near me says they can get it, but will be driven down unless I opt to make carrier/flatbed arrangements for transport. A few 2026 GT's available in CT & NJ. NY law I cannot register in NYS because the 2026 Ford Edge & Corsair (ICE) must meet CA emission certification...and neither of the two meet the standard for 2026. For me to register a 2026 or newer vehicle in NYS moving forward, it needs to be CA emission standards if registered (titled) as a new vehicle.
To register a 2026 or newer non CA certified vehicle, it must be a non new titled vehicle with over 7.5k miles on the odometer!
Despite the current administrations effort to make federal emissions the standard "law of the land", CA emissions still take precedence over federal in NYS.
I like the Edge...and I can live with a 3.5k tow pack on the 2.0 liter...thanks to transmission speed ratios.
I agree, the Edge GT is a sweet package!

Hi Steve_C. Just a recommendation, from the personal experience of one individual’s eyes, ears and caboose: If ride quality, N/V/H characteristics etc. are important factors to you, give the Edge ST a test drive before signing a contract.

I 100% agree the Edge ST is a very nice vehicle. However, it is aimed at a slightly different demographic than the Nautilus, and in my opinion the ride quality and N/V/H levels are quite noticeably not as refined as the Nautilus. Again, if those things are important factors to you.

We all have different tastes and opinions, so maybe just give it a test drive first.

Keep us updated and good luck with whatever you decide to do. 🍻
