Hi All,

Preparing to purchase a CPO 2013 MKX. Main question is whether to get the 18 polished rims with OEM Michelins or get the 20s or 22s with OEM Pirellis? I know the larger rims will look better, but I think the 18s may provide a more comfortable and quiet ride? We are Floridians and just need a comfortable ride with tires that are good in the rain and in hot city/highway driving. Also know the OEM tires will need to be replaced fairly soon and which rims have better tire options. Any replacement tire recommendations?

Our preferred exterior color is the white platinum. Also curious how "white" the crystal champagne is? Looks to be kind of an off-white with some gold tones? Does it look more tan or white? Will see it for first time at the dealer in a few days. Thanks!

Last fall I removed the OEM 20in. polished alum rims with Pirelli Scorpion STR P245/50R20 tires and installed winter wheels, 18X8 in. TSW Snetterton with Michelins P245/60R18 ATX and could not tell any difference in ride quality. Last week I reinstalled the OEM 20in. polished wheels and again I could not tell any difference in ride, noise or comfort between the 20in. or 18in. wheels, so I would go with 20in. rims since 20in. wheels look much better than a 17 or 18in rim. The OEM polished rims are clear coated where as chrome rims are not- chrome rims are subject to corrosion from disk brake dust, which is very toxic and corrosive. My vote is for the polished 20in. rims. which look really good on the MKX.
