I had a squeaking noise in my seat when I sat in it. I knew it was a lubrication issue. After talking to several dealerships who wanted me to "leave it" and put me in a loaner car which I did NOT want to do I went to an independent interior repair shop which told me the frame was broke...not true!
So I decided to do this myself. I found what I believe to be the lubrication hole and sprayed some WD40 Specialist Dry Lube in there. Problem solved! No more noise! Did not need much. 2 short squirts.
The noise was in the.seatback. Metal on metal noise.
