My Lincoln
2025 nautilus hybrid
Hi every one
My preference for the Lincoln Nautilus was specifically based on the brand's reputation for exceptional cabin quietness and an advanced noise isolation system. This noise, while perhaps not "abnormally loud" by the dealer's assessment, is extremely bothersome to me personally and breaches the luxury quietness standard I purchased the vehicle for, making the driving experience unsatisfactory and contrary to Lincoln's promise.

The primary defect in my 2025 Nautilus appeared since the first week of ownership. It is a highly annoying Vibrational Noise (Wind Buffeting) that becomes clearly noticeable at 95 km/h and above. while in highways and facing winds.

First Failed Attempt I replaced Tires with a full set of Continental tires
Second Failed Attempt Body Diagnosis dealer stating that "the vehicle noise is normal, the door alignment is excellent, and no repair is possible even though a lot of rubber seal are miss allined

any Idea?

I have a wind related rattle that can occur over 65 mph. Like you it varies and seems to be worse when wind is coming from passenger direction and also gets worse in rain (assume shield sags more when wet). It is on driver's side and comes from below.

The dealer isolated the issue to the underbody shield and put some spacers in place. It was reduced significantly but still present. I crawled under the car and saw the large underbody shield , spans from under the engine to the rear, deflected easily when touched and obvious to see how it could vibrate and hit an underbody part especially near on driver side under rear passenger. From what I see attachment points are only on perimeter. The shield is contoured to space about under parts and there is a cut off under driver side where it appears to be especially flimsy. I saw some metal hoses (possible gas) that were very close to shield.

When it gets warmer, I plan to crawl under the car and try to see if I can insert a spacer to make the shield less flimsy in that area.

Hi Ala Suliam and welcome to the Lincoln Forums.

While this is probably not the cause of your problem, let’s eliminate one possibility: Does this vibration/noise occur only when you are driving with one window open, and begin once speeds hit 35-45 mph and get worse as speed increases? If yes, does it disappear if you crack open a second window just a few inches?

The reason I ask is modern vehicles are aerodynamically tuned with the windiws closed. If we only open one window, an air pressure imbalance occurs. This leads to a harmonic resonance which sounds and feels like a thumping. It will increase in sound/frequency/intensity, until it can/will actually become painfully bad at highway speeds.

As I said, this is probably not your issue, but felt ruling it out wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Next…if you can not get this corrected by your Dealership, call Lincoln Concierge and see if they can get you further assistance.

I’m sure others will also jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.

Thanks for passing and comment I really I really Grateful for your attention
In fact i tried to roll down the windows and panoramic roof nothing happened
Open air conditioner vent and close it "little different"
I thought noise cancellation system has an issues and turn on /off radio "no change"
Honestly, this is driving me crazy, and I'm only bringing this up to share it with you in case any of the users have encountered the same problem with their car and have a solution.

Not exactly cause mine is not wind noise and start from 55mph some time 40MPH in fact you can fell it as vibrational pressure in the ear, more than hearing sound. (It's like wearing in-ear noise-canceling headphones while walking.)
I told you it drive me crazy

But it also like your expermnt " increase and decrease depending on how windy its "

If kt is pressure could be

Do you think the dealer can re-create it? That is the challege. Maybe a clogged cabin filter not allowing proper ventilation? Wild guess.

This seems to be a larger Ford/Lincoln issue, as I was in an older (I think around 2015) MKC (now called Corsair), and it had the same issue, but WAY worse. My 2024 Nautilus Reserve Hybrid does this, but to a much lesser degree. I can live with it, but would love it if it didn't do it at all. It's like a muted version of the buffeting that occurs when you open one rear window while driving at high speeds.
