Hi mreca824. The keyless keypad will not be adversely affected by a commercial car wash, and will be safe.
I don’t know of a way to disable them via the factory vehicle settings. Perhaps another member does?

On a related note, if you are interested: Car care experts (and I, a non-expert) don’t recommend most automatic/commercial car type washes, because they are harsh on the vehicle exterior. Yes, they are better than nothing if your circumstances don’t allow a proper hand washing, but try to avoid them when possible.

I’m sure others will jump in with more advice and opinions, so let us know how you make out and good luck.

Thanks so much. I hand washed all my vehicles for 35 years but have become a little "lazy" these days.
It's very warm here in Baton Rouge for much of the year! Maybe I'll give it another shot!

When i wash my Nautilus they get illuminated especially during rinsing. The car locked while washing the last time. Car washes can be tough on the paint due to strong chemicals and mechanical brushes are wicked.

When I was younger, I would never use an automatic car wash, but now I’m old and my opinion has changed. I use tunnel car washes sometimes and touch free washes sometimes. If the car only has a thick coat of dust on it, I use a touch free; if it’s really dirty, I use a full automatic wash. Also, I don’t wash them as often. The automatics have gotten better, but are still harsh. There are several express washes in this area. I use the one that seems to have the softest brushes ( they actually look like strips of chamois).
