My Lincoln
2019 Navigator
Is it normal to charge my iphone on the wireless charging pad and have it get super hot? My phone becomes super hot while charging on the pad, and I wonder if thats normal. My wireless pads i use at my desk, stay cool.

Not sure my 21 will not wireless charge my iPhone 12 pro. Lincoln says it is the phones problem. It will charge an iPhone 11 pro.

Thats odd. It charged my 13 pro and my wife's 14 pro.

But the charging pad gets super hot when it's charging a phone.
I would assume that the iPhone 12 should charge normally - a reboot maybe? or the case is too thick?

Hi MP. I'm not sure if you were involved in this discussion previously, but yes, there is a known issue with the iPhone 12 not charging properly on the wireless charger. And it is an issue with the iPhone 12 itself.
Take a look at this thread, if you haven't already: 2019 Nav iPhone 12 wireless charging

I'm not sure if the issue has been corrected since that thread, but it never hurts to ask the Dealership and/or call Lincoln Concierge for an update.

Keep us updated and good luck.

has anyone experienced removing their phone from charging pad while driving and the Navigator brakes really hard? I have had people almost slam into the back of me due to this

Hi G770526. That is highly unusual, to say the least.
The phone charging pad system and braking systems are not connected in any way. The charging pad is simply another form of a powerpoint.

You don’t mention what model year Navigator you have, or if it is still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty. If it is, schedule a service appointment with your Lincoln Dealership. If it isn’t, you still may want to schedule a service appointment to have this issue properly diagnosed and corrected.

I’m sure others will jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.
