Help! I don’t know what to do about my parking brake engagement. It’s not engaged so I’m thinking sensor issue!

I will appreciate any feedback anybody can give me THANK YOU SO MUCH!

If brakes aren't dragging, then you're correct, its a sensor issue. The best way is to replace the assembly and lube all the cables, but you could try these things instead. Maybe you'll get lucky:

1) Just move the handle back and forth a bunch of times.
2) Try some silicone oil spray on all cable connections. I think you can spray under the parking brake lever without removing it, but also get under car and lube all cable connections.
3) Replace just the sensor. Look online for instructions, maybe youtube. Not "Brake light switch", its parking brake sensor.
4) If your sure brakes aren't engaged, Just put a piece of black tape over the light and imagine your driving a car from the 1970's.

Hope this helps.
