My Lincoln
2008 Mark LT
A few days ago I recently purchased a 2008 mark LT which runs fine for first twenty or thirty min, but after that it starts to make noises and shake some whenever in drive or park and you let off the gas pedal. I have uploaded some videos of the noise it makes in the Google drive link below. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? Check engine light stays on (but wasn't on when first purchased it). Whenever it starts to shake or make loud noise the check engine light will sometimes flash. Let me know if there's any other info I can provide that would be helpful. Engine has about 116k miles

Get it scanned for codes. Flashing engine light is a serious misfire. Continuing to drive it can result in catalyst and or engine damage.

Pull codes as stated above. It is the first step in diagnosing the concern. If you do not have a reader, a fast moving parts store will usually do this for free.

In addition, with over 100,000 miles the O2 sensors are not exactly doing the fastest job they were doing when new. O2 sensors will slow down as they age. The PCM uses that signal to make real time adjustments in air/fuel ratio. Cylinder by cylinder. The O2 sensors may not be the cause of the current problem, but if they are original, they are not helping the engine operate the most efficiently. In addition, they are rather cheap to replace. (Under $25 each) You have 4 and these are a fairly easy DIY project.

Took to mechanic, was told it's likely running chain related. Thanks for the input
