Hi Everybody.
First of all , sorry for posting this topic, it's probabbly been dicsussed million times, but i couldn't really find any information about my question. I'm driving my Navigator in Moscow, Russia and unfortunalety many people don't have a slighest clue about this car even on the official FORD delaership, becaseu simply they do not sell officially any Lincolns in Russia. That's why i think this is the only place where i can get a good advise.

Well, to start off, my Air Suspension is set to OFF and i have been driving like that for about 1.5 years. When i start the car the Air Suspnesion message comes on and i have to click Reset every time for it to disappear.

First of all the question is: is it ok to drive with with Air Suspension OFF?? I mean it is a smooth ride but is it good or bad? I've tried turning it On but then i would feel like the pump would be constantly pumping air (felt like it is located somewhere on the passenger side up front - at least that's where the sound have been coming from). I'm not sure if it's normal but that noise was driving me insane, since it would come on every 5-10 minutes. I didn't drive with it more than 30 min and then just turned it on. May be i should have driven longer with it so the pump would stop going off all the time. May be it has problems?

SO i woudl appreciate any advise or infotmation about "what that is" and "how it is used" as it seems "specialist"that i ask those questions here seem to have all different views - seems more like they are guessing.

Thanks so much for your help.

PS. Abslutley love this car!! :)

Hi voro,

The air suspension is designed to be fully automatic without any intervention needed. On the Navigator, the system is composed of four airsprings (one at each wheel), an air compressor, air lines, a level sensor and various solenoids. There should be no reason to drive around with the system OFF. If the air compressor runs constantly while the system is turned on, then you likely have a leak somewhere that is preventing the truck from reaching the proper ride height. With the system turned off, no filling or venting occurs.
