2006 Zephyr's front passenger seat will not lean back/need to take seat out. How?

I have a 2006 Zephyr. The middle control of the front passenger seat has quit working. The back of the seat has been brought forward. It's very uncomfortable to sit in. Cannot get it to go back. Is motor shot; something lodged in there? Hard to see anything under there. I can hear a noise when I move the control. It did move forward where it has stayed using the control, but will not go back. Have unsuccessfully looked for instructions on how to remove the seat. I would appreciate step-by-step instructions on how to make this repair. It would be okay with me if I could just manually move the seat back and leave it in that position.
