Hey guys, looking for some input or advice on a transmission problem I'm having. So I have an 06 Town Car with a 2 year old rebuilt transmission that has about 40k miles on rebuild. Transmission shifted absolutely flawless with zero issues and has not been serviced since rebuild. I parked the car one day in my yard with no issues and due to a new job and a work truck the car sat in the driveway for about 2 to 2.5 months without being started, the battery was old to begin with and needed replaced after sitting (would not take a charge) I was able to jump the car and get it running, and upon trying to move the car I discovered I had no gears forward or reverse. Unfortunately it's full of fluid and it's clean (I hoped it just leaked into the grass and I couldn't see it) no transmission whine, or codes (but haven't ran long enough possibly for a code to appear, shut it down quick to avoid further damage) so my question is in yalls opinion before I dive in or give up on it is it possible the filter is clogged, pump froze up, not enough juice to electrical components from the battery or am I screwed? I'm gonna do a filter regardless and I still have to get a battery (everyones cars in my family is side post) but don't wanna throw money at it for nothing. I appreciate any input or direction to go in! Absolutely love the car, 438K miles original engine only second transmission, original transmission went out right at 400k! Why I'm not happy/upset having this issue lol
